Welcome!
Hey There! My name is Steve. Welcome to my travel blog! As someone who has had the travel bug since I was 20 years old, when I traveled throughout Greece and Europe during college, I’ve long wanted to be a travel writer. Since then, I’ve traveled to over 80 countries on six continents, and all 50 U.S. states. I’m also an urban planner, and I will bring my passion for cities, photography, and writing to this blog. I recently retired from my 9-5 job and am taking this opportunity to share my journeys with you. I’ll include stories of past and future trips, focusing on cities, countries, scenic spots, travel tips and recommendations of some of the hotels, restaurants, coffee shops and other places i’ve visited on my journeys.

My Story
Steve Sindiong is a freelance travel writer, photographer and urban planner. He has been traveling the world since he was a child. At 7 years old, he spent a summer in the Philippines, where his father was born, to meet and spend time with relatives. As a child, he was a geography and map buff. His real quest for traveling, however, began while at the University of Cincinnati, as an Urban Planning undergraduate student, when he spent a semester abroad traveling the Balkans, learning about urban design. During graduate school, he conducted his urban planning thesis in Stockholm, Sweden and backpacked throughout Europe. Since then, he’s traveled throughout the United States and to over 80 countries on six continents, and aspires to see many more. He currently lives in Alexandria, Virginia, with his partner and their dog Benji, and was formerly an urban planner with the City of Alexandria.
